Refund Policy
The Houston Chapter of RIMS provides educational, support and career enrichment services and information to its members through meetings, workshops, seminars, group sessions, trade shows and other educational events. Annual membership dues and events for which there is a cost may be paid online.
REFUND POLICY
Meetings and other events: All sales, including event and meeting registrations, are non-refundable. If you cannot attend the event, you may transfer your purchase to another person, provided you give notice to [email protected] no less than 48 hours prior to the event. If the event is rescheduled, all purchases will be honored for the next event date. If you cannot attend the rescheduled event, you may transfer your purchase to another person or you may request a refund by emailing [email protected]. If the event is canceled, all purchases will be refunded in full.
Membership fees (dues): Membership fees are non-refundable.
ONLINE PAYMENT SECURITY
All credit card information transmitted through the Houston RIMS web site is encrypted as it is sent to our ecommerce provider. No credit card numbers, not even partial numbers, are ever stored on our site.
At our e-commerce provider's web site, all card numbers are encrypted on disk with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate computers. No internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers; instead, they can just request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist. Their infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in separate hosting infrastructure, and doesn’t share any credentials with their primary services (API, website, etc.).
