    President's Letter

    January 2026

    Happy New Year, everyone!

As we step into 2026, let’s embrace new opportunities, strengthen our connections, and continue leading the way in risk management. I hope 2025 brought you success and growth—and left you inspired for what’s ahead.

This year will bring new challenges, emerging risks, and evolving exposures, but together, I know we’ll find creative solutions and share best practices that make us stronger as a community.

The holidays are always a time to recharge and reflect. I hope you enjoyed time with family and friends and return with fresh energy and perspective for the year ahead.

To everyone who joined us at the Holiday Party in December, it was amazing to see you! The energy in the room truly reflected the strength of our network. For those who couldn’t make it, we missed you dearly. I’m thrilled to share that the silent auction raised $1,200 for BEAR…Be A Resource, supporting children in need. In addition, we closed out the year by donating to The Spencer Foundation, The University of Houston’s Risk Management Department, and Kids’ Chance of Texas. Giving back is central to our mission, and we look forward to doing even more in 2026.

Looking ahead, I encourage you to join us for our first monthly luncheon of the year on January 21st at The Briar Club. Details are available below and on our website at http://www.houstonrims.org. This year's programming is designed to inform, engage, and support your professional growth.

As we begin this new chapter, I’m excited about the opportunities to grow our network, share knowledge, and support one another in navigating the dynamic world of risk management. We welcome your ideas and involvement—let’s make 2026 a year of collaboration, innovation, and meaningful impact.

Cheers to a successful and rewarding year ahead!
